Honzankō【ほんざんこう】
A memorial service for the ancestors of each visiting family. (Not held in March or September.)
1st of each month
Eidai Shidō Hōyō (Perpetual Memorial Service)【えいだいしどうほうよう】
A memorial service for those enrolled in the perpetual sutra-offering.
Morning Service (Asa no Otsutome)
A service is held in the main hall every morning. Everyone is warmly welcome to take part. Chair seating is provided in the main hall. Time: from 6:00 a.m. each morning.

Gantan Shukutō-e (New Year's Day Service of Prayer)【がんたんしゅくとうえ】
7日
Ichimanben Shōdaigyō (Practice of Ten Thousand Recitations)【いちまんべんしょうだいぎょう】
A chanting practice in which "Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō" is recited ten thousand times.
9日
Ikebana Honnoji Hatsuike Kenka-shiki (First Flower-Arranging & Offering Ceremony of the Year)【かどうほんのうじはついけけんかしき】
An event to arrange flowers and celebrate the New Year.
13日
Honzan Hatsukō (First Honzankō of the Year)【ほんざんはつこう】
The first Honzankō of the New Year, which also features a lecture by an invited guest speaker.
Jan 25–31
Kanchū Shōdaigyō (Midwinter Chanting Practice)【かんちゅうしょうだいぎょう】
A chanting practice held during the coldest part of winter.

February

Setsubun-e (Setsubun Service)【せつぶんえ】
Prayers are offered for the safety of the household and for traffic safety throughout the year.

Nichiren Daishōnin Kōtan-e (Commemoration of the Birth of Nichiren Daishōnin)【にちれんだいしょうにんこうたんえ】
A service of gratitude for the birth of Nichiren Daishōnin.
Feb 24–25
Gokaisan-e (Founder's Memorial Service)【ごかいさんえ】
One of Honnoji's three great services—a memorial marking the death anniversary of the temple's founder, Nichiryū Shōnin.

March

Mar 17–23
Higan-e (Equinox Services: Opening, Middle, Closing)【ひがんえ】
Memorial services during the equinoctial week for the ancestors of each family and for all departed spirits.

April

Shakuson Kōtan-e (Commemoration of the Birth of Śākyamuni Buddha)【しゃくそんこうたんえ】
A service of gratitude for the birth of Śākyamuni Buddha.
Early April
Ikebana Exhibition & Cultural Arts Exhibition
An exhibition of works by Ikebana Honnoji and the Honnoji cultural classes.
Apr 28
Kaishū-e (Commemoration of the Founding of the Teaching)【かいしゅうえ】
A service commemorating the day Nichiren Daishōnin made his vow to propagate the Odaimoku and chanted it for the first time.

May 6–7
Hokke Senbu Daihōyō (Grand Service of the Thousand-Volume Lotus Sutra Recitation)【ほっけせんぶだいほうよう】
One of Honnoji's three great services, with a tradition of more than 450 years. The Lotus Sutra is recited one thousand times in prayer for the peace of the nation and the world, and as a memorial for all departed spirits.

Nobunaga-kō Ki (Memorial Service for Lord Nobunaga)【のぶながこうき】
A memorial service marking the death anniversary of Lord Nobunaga.

Urabon Segaki-e (Obon Segaki Service)【うらぼんせがきえ】
A memorial service for the ancestors of each family and for all departed spirits.

Nichiren Daishōnin Tatsunokuchi Gohōnan-e (Commemoration of the Tatsunokuchi Persecution)【にちれんだいしょうにんたつのくちごほうなんえ】

Hōjō-e (Service for the Release of Living Creatures)【ほうじょうえ】
A service expressing gratitude to all the living creatures we consume in daily life. (Held with the Sankō Tenshi and Banjin-e rites, at the Kamo River.)

Higan-e (Equinox Services: Opening, Middle, Closing)【ひがんえ】
彼岸中の各家の先祖供養と一切の萬霊の追善法要。

Arashiyama Senjō Kawa Segaki (Riverboat Segaki Service at Arashiyama)【あらしやまかわせがき】
A memorial service for those who died in war and for those who lost their lives in rivers and at sea.

October

Oct 12–13
Oeshiki【おえしき】
One of Honnoji's three great services—a memorial marking the death anniversary of the sect's founder, Nichiren Daishōnin.
