About Ikebana Honnoji
In January 2001 (Heisei 13), the Honnoji Mishō school was renamed "Ikebana Honnoji." The Honnoji Mishō school was originally founded in 1928 (Shōwa 3) to commemorate the enthronement of the Shōwa Emperor, with Daijūin Nippo Shōnin—the fourth master of Honnoji's Kōshun'in subtemple—as its founding head.
